Together, we'll create a holistic container that can hold it all– the fear, the grief, the shame, the anxiety, the doubts- by utilizing whatever techniques feel most supportive to you, from traditional talk-therapy approaches to incorporating in-session mindfulness-practices or more body-centered approaches, like yoga therapy.
My approach is both collaborative and holistic, centering around my values of embodied presence, empathy, connection, and deep listening.
I’m trauma and social justice-informed and view counseling through an intersectional lens (mind, body, environment, culture). Meaning… I believe you are already whole and have everything you need for healing… there just may be things (thoughts, beliefs, actions, etc.) blocking access to your internal resources. During our time together, we’ll also look at environmental factors (interpersonal, economic, oppression, etc.) that can contribute to and/or make challenging issues even more so.
I fell in love with meditation and mindfulness 25 years ago and have been practicing ever since. My offerings are infused with the transformative and healing qualities of mindfulness-based practices, bolstered by recent research, and grounded in many years of practice.
